A dear friend from childhood died two days ago. Way too young, way too soon. I shall miss the twinkling eyes and quick wit that played out through a slight, but omnipresent smirk. That look belied genuine devotion, spirituality, generosity–loving good-heartedness. But the heart wasn’t good. It gave out and left a grieving wife, kids, family, and friends. Mary and I are so sad and so sorry and are praying for them.
Death, the hated enemy, will not hold those who are Christ’s.
See you later, Scotty.
